Be A Friend - Volunteer Information Meeting
We are actively seeking volunteers to be a Friend to 3 of our scholarship students!
As part of the New Beginnings Scholars Program, we match our scholarship recipients with a volunteer from Lucky Duck Foundation’s Be A Friend - Impact A Life program.
Be A Friend is a step-by-step program designed to train and activate volunteers to positively impact the lives of individuals experiencing homelessness through the power of friendship. Volunteers are paired with a Friend who is experiencing homelessness, so that they can feel seen, heard, valued, and understood - and through the power of friendship, move towards a brighter future.
We invite you to consider taking this life-changing journey with one of our youth! Supportive relationships are often times the key to helping an individual exit homelessness and enter into a life that is self-sustaining. Think of all of the people who have helped you reach goals and achieve your dreams… none of us have done it alone.
