When you donate to the New Beginnings Fund, you are changing the world for one student.

What may feel like a small gift to you, can have a BIG impact for an unhoused student.

When you give to the fund, you provide:

  • A sense of possibility, hope, and progress in our communities

  • An opportunity for unhoused youth to continue to learn, grow, and achieve

  • Access to a bright and educated future for eager students

  • An opportunity to break the cycle of poverty and homelessness in San Diego

  • And the chance to build a more beautiful world for all of us

There are many solutions to the problem of homelessness. New Beginnings Fund for Unhoused Youth is just one piece of the puzzle.

But it’s an important piece.

“The experience of homelessness is about much more than any one individual […] we must create more systemic ways to strengthen diverse communities like ours in San Diego”

— Jennifer Weck, NBSF Co-Founder

How to Donate

YOU can help create a beacon of light for unhoused students and build a more thriving future for all San Diegans. There are two ways for you to give:

Scholarship Fund:

Donate to our fund at the San Diego Foundation

$5,000 provides one scholarship for one student.

But a gift of ANY amount, from $50 - $25,000 (or beyond!), is part of the solution for all of us.

Let’s build a brighter San Diego, together.

And support students as they break cycles of poverty and homelessness in their families.

Scholars Program

We know that success in college and beyond requires more than just financial support.

You can help provide materials, transportation, housing support, and mentorship for our scholarship recipients by donating to the New Beginnings Scholars Program

Your funds will be used to ensure every student has what they need to thrive.

A more beautiful future is possible,

we just need your help to get there.

*All donations are tax deductible through the San Diego Foundation or New Beginnings Fund
